Area 15 Community Working Group |
| We call ourselves the Paddington-Darlinghurst Community Working Group for Local Traffic, Parking, Accessibility, and Amenity. We started in 1989 as Neighbourhood Watch, and since then, we have a 16- year history of instigating change in our community, with thoughtful, direct campaigns. On major issues, we have mobilised over 350 local people to sign petitions and send in letters, faxes and emails.
Our knowledge of our own lives in our own houses in our own local streets, enables us to work out, propose and help implement successful local traffic and parking measures. We successfully worked with Council and the RTA to design and implement the Local Area Traffic Management Scheme, together with other local public works, development, and planning proposals.
